One of my friends [Paula Wolfe Brill] was in Pembroke East and there was only one other Jewish freshman beside her in that dorm. That gal was from Philadelphia, so, according to my friend, went home almost every weekend. She [Paula] was quite unhappy her freshman year there. In fact, she requested that she be moved to Rhoads and not only did she request it but her parents requested it and the school refused to do that. So, actually, she left Bryn Mawr.
