Mid Century Jewish Mawrtyrs

Miriam Diamond

Miriam Diamond is a member of the class of 1957. She is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and lives there currently. While at Bryn Mawr she became president of her class, she was also a non-residential student and lived at home her senior year. After Bryn Mawr she began to work in social services, working first for the city of Philadelphia and then for a reproductive health non-profit. She says her family and women are priorities in her life.

Miriam's Yearbook Entry

"Miriam Forman Diamond had grown so fond of Rhoads that she could not bear to forsake it after her wedding. Besides, her lawyer husband went to sea. Turning non-res at last, Mimi left an empty place in the lives of the many who confided in her. Her easy good nature, interest in her classmates and obvious capability made her the logical choice for sophomore class president as well as personal confidant. Although a sociology major, Mimi intends to be concentrating on home economics in the near future."
