Nona Abrams

Nona Abrams is a member of the class of 1945. She is originally from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and lives there currently. At Bryn Mawr she was a politics major and lived in Rhoads. Nona was awarded the Minnie Murdoch Kendrick Scholarship to attend Bryn Mawr. She was also the first married Bryn Mawr student to live on campus. After Bryn Mawr Nona taught at various schools in Philadelphia and also worked as the director of the women's division of Israel Bonds in Philadelphia. She has been very active in her synagogue community and was instrumental in the movement for the equality of women in conservative Judaism in Philadelphia.
