Illustrating Chornobyl: A Journey Through the World of Comics
This contribution explores depictions of Chornobyl within the medium of comics. Spanning time and geography, a thematic framework is applied to navigate the disaster as both a simplified setting and a symbol of human tragedy.
Theo Schefer is a History major at Haverford with a Museum Studies minor at Bryn Mawr. Besides reading comics, he likes to “stalk” (wander around) greater Ardmore, go on runs, and listen to 60s folk music.
