Chornobyl in Tourist Literature

This project borrows from scholar Phillip Stones’ analysis of Chornobyl tourism to examine Chornobyl’s transformation into a tourist attraction. Using travel literature from the past 30 years this exhibit uncovers how publishers turned the site of a devastating industrial accident into a must-see tourist destination.
