An excellent question! **Digital scholarship** encompasses a wide range of digital methods—from digital mapping (GIS) to text mining to data visualization to 3D modeling—and emphasizes interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaborations. It is a broad category that includes, among many things: * Public-facing scholarship * Non-traditional publishing methods (alternatives to books and articles) * Scholarship that uses computational tools borrowed from other disciplines * Library- or collections-based research Some think of it as an expansion of "digital humanities" to include more disciplines [[But what is Digital Humanities?|dh]] (link:"OK")[(display:"score pop")]
