'24 '31 Students Study Race highlights research begun by Vanessa Davies and continued by the 2020 Digital Scholarship Summer Fellows at Bryn Mawr College. Work on this project was supported by a Digital Bryn Mawr Project Grant and by LITS (Library and Information Technology Services) at Bryn Mawr College.

The existence of this website is largely due to calls for its creation from the Bryn Mawr alumnae/i community. We thank those people for their early and enthusiastic support.

The roots of this project lay in the campus Community Day of Learning on March 1, 2019. As part of the day-long event "Engaging Bryn Mawr's Histories," Vanessa presented this research and asked a panel of current and former students of color to reflect on these previously unknown pieces of campus history.

Thanks to the support of Bryn Mawr's Alumnae/i Relations and Development, she also presented this research at Reunion on May 31, 2019 and Alumnae/i Volunteer Summit on September 27, 2019.

Alumnae/i and other audience members at these events voiced the opinion that the information needed to be presented to the public. They strongly supported the creation of a webpage on the College website to document this history.
